  • Ben Powell

    Award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer Ben Powell, a native of the Mississippi Delta, has been compelled to view the world through a lens since he could hold a camera. A Rhode Island School of Design graduate in Film, Animation, and Video, Ben’s work has premiered at film festivals nationwide. He made his directorial debut with BARGE, a documentary about America’s busiest waterway and its people, which premiered at SXSW in 2015 and won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature at both the Dallas International Film Festival and Indie Memphis. Since then, Ben has created feature-length documentaries, shorts, and music videos, collaborating with artists and organizations around the world.

    After 12 years in Austin, Texas, Ben returned to the Delta, actively contributing to the state’s filmmaking community while continuing to tell stories with cinematic vision. Ben serves as a board member for the Mississippi Film Alliance.

  • Greta Koshenina

    Greta Koshenina is a documentarian and multidisciplinary artist from Water Valley, Mississippi. Greta earned a BA in Classics, an MA in Southern Studies, and an MFA in Documentary Expression from the University of Mississippi. The Center for the Study of Southern Culture cultivated Greta’s lifelong interest in storytelling, art, and traditions, culminating in personal and community based projects that focus on life in the North American South.

    Now based in Cleveland, MS, Greta is an adjunct professor of film and photography at Delta State University, teaches classes at the Delta Arts Alliance, and serves as a lead programmer for the Oxford Film Festival.

    Greta has received a Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) Individual Project Grant, a MAC Mini-Grant, the Sue Hart Award, and the Lucille and Motee Daniels Award. In July 2025, Greta showed her work in a solo exhibition at the Arts Center of Mississippi in Jackson, MS.

  • Graham Hamaker

    Graham Hamaker is a creative producer and filmmaker from Abita Springs, Louisiana. His love for analog media developed in high school at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), where he studied filmmaking and audio engineering. He is a graduate of the Music Industry Studies program at Loyola University New Orleans.

    Before Alluvial, Graham worked in the music industry with Fat Possum Records and House Arrest Distribution, managing projects and distribution for artists such as Soccer Mommy, Jay Som, and TOPS. He also co-founded Grapefruit, a boutique clothing company known for its hand-dyed overalls.

    In 2024, Graham graduated from Mississippi State University with a Master of Agribusiness Management. His current work and interests focus on rural development and alternative approaches to farming in the Mississippi Delta, where he explores the intersection of creativity, sustainability, and community.
